Born in San Fernando, California, Tom Fritz earned his bachelor's degree in illustration from California State University, Northridge and worked as a commercial artist for over twenty-five years.
His art has been shaped by childhood recollections of the racing and rodding cultures that were prevalent in Southern California during the 60's and early 70's. Today, he paints out of his studio in Ventura County, California.
